November: Invited panellist for session on “The Costs of Green Energy Transition” at UCD Critical Minerals Symposium, November 7th 2025. Title of my talk “Rematerialising Ireland’s Race to Net Zero”.

March: Invited guest talk on “The Limits to Green Growth: Rematerialising UK’s Pathway to Net Zero” for the Digital Humanities Seminar Series at University of London on 10th March.                          

February: Invited panellist for session on “Media, Communication, and Environmental Justice” at University College Dublin (UCD) Humanities Institute for Seminar Series on Environmental Media Studies in Ireland: What Is To Be Done? on 28th February 2025. Title of my talk, “The Limits to Green Growth: Rematerialising UK’s Pathway to Net Zero”.

October: Invited to give a presentation for the annual seminar series in the School of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Ulster University, Coleraine Campus, on 2nd Oct.

April: I was an invited panellist at the panel discussion on Waste and the Circular Economy, organised by the Centre for Sustainability, Equality and Climate Action (SECA), Queen’s University, Belfast on 10th April. Fellow panellists were Dr. Tim Walker, CEO of Arc21, and Dr. Beatrice Smyth, Senior Lecturer in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Queen’s University, Belfast.

 

2023

July: I was invited to present my paper titled “Available to be Poisoned: The Toxic Politics of E- Waste Management in India”, as a panellist for the session on “Narratives and Geographies of Waste and Toxicity” for the British Academy/Wellcome Trust Conference on Resisting Toxic Climates: Gender, Colonialism, and Environment organized by Dr. Rebecca Macklin and Prof. Michelle Keown from the University of Edinburgh at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh, 26th – 27th July 2023.

May: I was invited to facilitate the session on ‘Environmental Impact of 3D technologies and considerations of climate justice’ for the workshop on Ethical Responsibilities and 3D Practices in Cultural Heritage co-organised by Gabriel Bodard (University of London), Paula Granados Garcia (Endangered Material Knowledge Programme, British Museum), and Andrea Wallace (University of Exeter) at the Digital Humanities Research Hub, School of Advanced Study (SAS), University of London, 9th of May.

 February: As one of the panellists, I presented my paper “Re-materialising the Digital: Problematising the E-waste Problem” at the panel discussion organized by me on “Re- materialising the Digital: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue on Actions, Challenges and Possible Futures” at the University of Edinburgh on 8th February.

Making Sense between Art, Science, and Religion in the 21st Century organised by Kerstin Borchhardt, Institute for the History and Theory of Art, Catholische Privat-Universität Linz on 17th January.

May: I made a presentation on “Re-materialising the Digital: Problematising ‘the e-waste problem’ in India” for the panel session on “Toxic Natures” chaired by Anjali Dalal (University of Edinburgh) at the South Asian Anthropocenes conference organised by The Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS), University of Edinburgh, 30th – 31st May.

2022

November: On 23rd Nov., I made my Works-in-Progress presentation at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH), University of Edinburgh as part of my fellowship as a Digital Scholarship Postdoctoral Fellow. My presentation was titled Re-materialising the Digital: Governmentality and the Environmental Consequences of Life Online”. Watch my presentation here.

July: I presented a paper on “Posthumanism from Below: Devitalized Bodies and Inert Environments in India” for the panel session on “Posthuman Society”, chaired by Jaime del Val, at the Cultures of the Posthuman10th Beyond Humanism Conference, organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Journalism, University of Lower Silesia, Wroclaw, Poland, 18th – 21st of July.
